Statewide business organizations announce partnership with Governor Whitmer aimed at shaping and approving “Michigan Reconnect” and “MI Opportunity Scholarship”
Today, four major business organizations announced key support for Gov. Gretchen Whitmer’s goal of increasing the percentage of Michigan’s workforce with a post high school degree or high-value certificate to 60 percent by the year 2030.

During her first State of the State address, Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer touted a tuition-free plan that would help high school graduates attend college or get vocational training.

Michigan Chamber of Commerce Key Issues and Bills for Education and Workforce Readiness
Creates pathways for all students, regardless of income, to get the skills or education they need to land a good-paying job. The bills contain contains three career pathways, all focused on getting students the skills, credentials and degrees they need to enter the workforce.
